DRM JULY MONTHLY MEDAL RBA 2009
RBA INVASION!
He just landed from outer space and trying to over-rule the earth. He finally arrived and over-shadowed our peaceful atmosphere. He took out his 14 weapons and shot at his utmost skills/effort. He beat all the heroes possible; superman, spiderman, Venezuelan komunis, Nigerian kung-fu fighter, the Jaws, the piranha etc-etc, all gone, thus, 1st August was a day called AMIR Invasion.
He carded tremendous 86 strokes, playing with handicap 15 and surprisingly scored par 71 Net. Is this a plain coincidence or just a ‘crocs’ skills (in malay we called it Trik si-Badar, so that his handicap will remain the same – inda?). Congratulations Mr Haji Amir Haji Osman for winning your first champion in 2009. DRM also conveyed a thank message to you for your continuous support and sponsor. So far, all DRM champion varies from different faces and let us look back since our first DRM tourney in January 2009.

“Baru main skali sudah menang 1 juta” claimed Spidey-man… welcome back Mr Rahim Jahit, if only you hit birdie to the last hole, you could have earned yourself to No.3 spot in this monthly medal. Good effort and hope to see you again next one in Panaga.
NO.2 MAN STILL ON TOP!
Despite of his absence in July Monthly Medal, the No.2 man still comfortably leads the Battle of the Bridges Cup merit points. The captain hopelessly re-gains his throne out of July Tour and it was as good as skipping this tournament. New threat is also coming, from the Nigerian kung-fu fighter and the undertaker, jumping from 42 to 22 and from 13 to 6 spot respectively. Not to mention, the Superman! Thanks to both new guys mentioned earlier, they managed to control him from flying higher and higher.. heh heh heh!
See you all next Monthly Medal in PANAGA.

DRM JUNE MINI TOUR 2009
THE NEW BLACK CHAMPION!
Air cetek dan tenang d RBA jangan sangka takder buaya! Out of nowhere, he suddenly came out of his cocoon, busting out all his prey. This strong 18 handicapper scored gross 94, enough to beat all the other favourite DRM golfers to win this month. The stunning performance playing from Black Tee has a new champion named Mr Omarali Md Diah. He is the black tee expert who managed to spot regulation shot for almost every hole. That explained the speed completion of their games. Congratulations Mr Omarali for your first Champion Winning this year DRM 2009.
While our DRM invitational, it was dominated by our x-Nigerian Golfer, Mr Mohd Yunos Abdullah. He managed to soft psycho DRM captain by his superb, long, accurate shot. He scored 1-under, gross of 85 with the handicap of 15. Congratulations to him and best of luck to him who will start joining DRM tour next month. The best thing is, he will start off with his handicap chopped to 13 and consequently will be chop-chop-chop again to single handicap.
EARLY BIRDS
As early as 0615hours, there was this man practising his pitching and putting with his positive mind-set to win this game. This guy is our Ex-Kapitan Hj Md Rahim Matussin. His visibility as the early bird earned him DRM$50,000.00 – one out of two early bird points offered to DRM golfers this year.

Our consistence DRM No.2 man has finally step on the captain’s head to climb up the top spot of the DRM Scoreboard. Mr Rafali Rasit is now leading the scoreboard ‘menjatuhkan takhta kerajaan 3 bulan’ Mr MeDz Whyte. Congratulations Mr No.2 man.

A DREAM COMES TRUE FOR SMILEY!
He started off with three pars in a row. He put us in deep pressure. Dia Berjaya menampilkan permainan yang bergaya d Sembilan lobang pertama. Dengan swing penuhnya yang menggerunkan. Semua pergerakannya teratur terancana. Pukulan Regulasi menetek d setiap lobang. Walaupun gagal mendapat pelukan rakan-rakan seperjuangan jika dapat birdie, harapan beliau juga tidak menghampakan. Beliau menjaringkan markah agak rendah 44 di Sembilan lobang pertama. Permainan agak merosot d peringkat kedua. Pukulan mencecah ‘snowman’ d lobang kesepuluh. Beliau di berikan perlawanan sengit oleh rakan jemputan sepertaruhan yang juga menjadi ‘supplier coke' kami dalam satu penerbangan.
Berbekalkan dengan semangat positif untuk menang kali pertama, akhirnya dia Berjaya mengontrol pergerakannya, seterusnya memenangi perlawanan DRM kali kedua bulan Februari 2009.

DRM 1st Monthly Medal, Eastwood Valley 2009
MIX FEELINGS/WHEATHER AT EASTWOOD
It was raining heavily most of KB area that Sunday morning. Positive vibe from lord of the putt, said it will shine in Eastwood Miri and eventually it was true. About 48 golfers joined that morning with high spirit to beat the opponent team.
This tournament, apart from the triple threat competition, an extra duel from Mr Seruji Haji Setia, Brunei No.1 Golfer, was also competing personally against Miri very own Champion, Mr Kelana Ibrahim.
Rain did fall at halve nine and also stopped at next 2 holes played. I heard “I will play better golf when it s raining” “Golf is not fun anymore!” “Oh I can get birdie when it s raining” “Soggy fairway” “I lost my momentum when it s raining” “my ball went low rider because of this soggy fairway” and many other statements coming out from most of the golfers.
Game lasted for six hours! Golfers went to the locker room with joy, mud, long-faced, you name it, it s all there. But I would say it s all about fun playing golf. The fun we get from this tournament is the challenge playing on wet condition, which is part of the journey of DRM Championship Tourney 2009; and Eastwood is just the beginning!
Well done DRM! You have shown your commitment and fighting spirit.
DRM MAESTRO CLAIMED 1ST CHAMPION OF 2009!
Kamal Bahrom is the first champion for DRM January Monthly. As the buggy partner, I can only say that I am proud to have played with the winner. We were at the same flight with that Brunei No.1 too plus low handicapper Mr Haji Osman Duraman; and the tension were quite over-whelming.
I don’t know if Kamal felt it but he had a bad start at 12th Hole, hitting a Double-Par. He made an adjustment to his swing and after 5holes of misery; he managed to sink down a birdie at 18th Hole.
That hole is like a turning point that he locked his game to Mr Seruji’s level. First Nine, he scored 41, same figure as the Brunei No.1 Golfer. While second nine, he scored “ting-tong-ting-tong” 42, smacked down by Mr Seruji who scored 33 at back nine. We both enjoy seeing our pro from Brunei, how he swing, his regulation, his recovery and also his long putt in.
Congratulations! Cik Kamal for winning the first and probably the last DRM Tournament. We will sadly miss your appearance for the rest of the DRM Tour 2009.

DRM lost to Lapor Po team by 19 strokes. DRM has scored 444 (nombor mati ooh!) while Lapor Po scored 425. Congratulations! To Lapor Po team and we shall meet again in the next quarter. I hope this meet has certainly brings the benefit of wide spreading our networking as fellow golfers and strengthen our camaraderie.

Regrettably to inform you that we will count the score on separate note due to technical problem faced by Eastwood Golf Management. I will also post DRM Order of Merit this weekend.
Lastly, not to forget, to our two proactive assistant to this tournament Mr Moon Saiful and Renny Muslim who has helped me throughout this event. You two deserve my monthly captain point of 100k each.

DRM Board has raised concern on current continuous thunderstorm. For the past 2 days, there has been an improvement on the wheather. Well, Rain or Shine, the GAME IS STILL ON!!!

Tee-off is a shot-gun start at 800hours. Tee-boxes will be allocated by the Eastwood Golf staff and announced on Sunday morning.
